California Dreamin!

Quin had an interview in California so the kids and I packed up and headed down there with him (why not it's 70 degrees there). It was a long drive but well worth it. We got to swim in all the "hot" tubs at the hotels we stayed at (three in all - way too many!), we ate all the fast food we could handle, and we had fun together as a family!

While Quin interviewed in Fresno we swung by Hayley VanBeever's (med school friends) house and hung out with her and the kids. Trey and Luke had so much fun playing in the dirt, and Cohen and Ashie enjoyed fighting over toys to ride. (Thanks Hayley and Will!)

Then we headed down to Anaheim and Disneyland. Quin's sisters were already there hitting all the attractions and willingly changed all their plans to go to Disnleyland with us (thanks!).
We had so much fun and rode all the rides possible for a one day trip. Treydon was ready to go home around noon. He just wanted to go swimming at the hotel (to which I had to remind him this Disneyland adventure does not happen very often and he will get to swim in a pool many times). In the end our favorite ride was Space Mountain. We convinced Treydon we really went into space. After watching Space Dogs (the movie) he thought that was so cool.
On our ride home the kids ate their one souvenier from Disnleyland. This is all they wanted. Treydon has been wanting "a huge lollipop" for over a year now!

Elder Bud already!?!

My younger brother went into the MTC today. I cannot believe the day has already come. I admire those boys who go into the MTC willing to sacrifice two years of their "prime" years to go and serve the Lord. I love their dedication!
If you can't tell he is so EXCITED!!!

Here is a picture of my whole family. I am so lucky to have this many people to Love! Seriously, it is so much fun to have this many people around and to enjoy!!!

The sisters with our Elder Bud! (1/18/09)

Here we are at my house right before we take Elder Bud into the MTC. We are so lucky to be able to know and experience with him the blessings of going on a mission.

Happy Birthday Treydon

Happy Birthday to my handsome boy who seems to grow way too Fast! This past week the both of us worked together on a basketball pinata for his party. He was so excited to wack at it.

It only took Trey one smack (um, it took us a whole week to make!) and he spilled candy all over the floor. He was so excited! He wanted to play basketball for his party so we had his party at the rec center - a five year old boys DREAM!

Here is the four-wheeler cake he requested. He thought it was the coolest cake ever.

Hide and Seek!

One of our favorite games is Hide and Seek. Now this game is only fun if the kids get to hide every time and I get to count. The reason for this is that I clean up while I am counting and they are hiding. This way I get things done while playing with the kids.

They thought it was so cool to hide in the dryer (I was doing laundry that day) and they wanted to show daddy what a cool hiding spot they found!

Snow!

Treydon was so excited to measure how much snow we got. He went and got his new "Cars" ruler and put it in the snow to measure. As you can see the ruler was way to short!!!

Snow Ball Fight!

The Brooksby's had family with lots of land so we ventured out and had some fun. Quin started up a snow ball fight, and I think he lost! We hooked some sleds up to fourwheelers and let the kids enjoy the snow!Parker

Garrison and Treydon on sleds. Speedy Miranda ran beside them.
