We needed something entertaining on a Sunday afternoon so I pulled out the sewing machine.
I know, its considered working, but it was entertaining and I taught my kids a new skill. The new skill is . . . . ummm . . . . how to make some designs on cloth!!!
When I was little I remember my mom sewing A LOT. She would let me press the foot pedal every once in a while. That was so cool! One day I remember playing by the sewing machine and bumping the table while she was sewing. I will never forget the look of that needle stuck down in the middle of my moms finger nail. I seriously don't know how she survived that pain. I never remember her yelling at me. She has always been very patient - an attribute I will always try to live up to! Thanks to my mom for teaching me how to sew and be a good mom! Love you!
