Tag, I'm it

Thanks Hayley. I don't like to think of facts about myself, but my sweet and dear friend feels that I must. Here goes.

1. I recently became a blogger. As most of my friends know, I am not on the computer a lot. But now it is almost every day. The blogging world is cruel to me.

2. Chocolate! Anything chocolate I will eat. It is an evil thing that I cannot resist. Don't let anyone know!!!

3. Last time I have been out to dinner with my hubby (without kids) over two years ago for our anniversary (thanks to Brenda!). I lOVE my children and cannot seem to separate myself from them.

4. I love to cook, but haven't really cooked a whole meal since we moved to Utah. My husband cooks a lot more now and so I let him do it. How lucky can I be!

5. The store I go to the most is still Walmart. This is just down right horrible because I always vowed I would shop elsewhere when I moved away from Kirksville.

6. My sense of time is never right. Like now, I should be in bed so I can be up at 7 a.m. with my daughter, but I am typing instead. And I always want to say nice things to people but by the time I think to say it I am too late. Why is this curse upon me. Any suggestions on how to stop this seemingly horrible problem?

Now off to bed I go . . . after I clean up my kids toys so no one trips on them tonight, brush my teach and wash my face, take my medicine (horrible sinus infections love me), get into my pajamas, read, say prayers, etc. . . . . . I cannot stop typing.

Fall Leaves!!!

These are my happy kids who thought jumping in the leaves was just the funnest thing ever!

Here are some pictures of my children at a local park by our house. I love the fall leaves!!!

Treydon's Amazing Fall!

I cannot help but laugh over and over. He mentions that it hurt at the end, but he just got right back up and did it again, crazy kid!!!

Fall Pumpkin Picking at HeeHaw Farm

Sorry these have been posted so late. I just downloaded over 200 pictures so I hope to put some on soon. I always get behind on things like this. It is a project in and of it self for me. But I love to talk about my kids so my goal is to keep up better. Ha, Ha, we'll see how that goes. I am not dumb enough to make it a New Years goal, that is for sure. (Gosh I wish I was a better mom!)

This is the sunflower that the kids got to pass around on the hay ride. It was huge. You can see how small Ashie's head is (in the bottom corner) compared to the sunflower. Trey was excited to try one until he realized there was no salt.

Ashie found her pumpkin first. And about two seconds after I took this picture she went to pick it up and fell head first into the pricklies surrounding it! Poor girl.
Here are Trey and Ashie on the trailer that we took a ride on. Don't they look so happy to be done. Actually I had to bribe them to smile. I told them we could go eat after that!
This is Trey racing ducks down the water spout. He had so much fun, it was quite cute!
That was pretty much our day. We went with Trey's preschool. We got to look at lots of animals and even ate lunch. They had a huge slide in the corn maze and Trey loved going down it. It had a bump in the middle, which made me have a sore behind the next day (but that is just because we went down the slide five or six times!!!).

My Playful Children

These kids just keep me going. There is never a dull moment in my life!

This is Ashelyn playing peek a boo. This is her new way of playing. She randomly stops what she is doing to pull off this pose.

Trey had to put his dog int his "cage", and then try it out himself. He thought it was the coolest things ever!

Trip to Park City - August 2007

We went up to Park City and spent a night at one of the resorts. We decided that riding the gondola up the mountain sounded like fun, so we rode all the way up stayed for about half an hour and the kids were done. It was lots of fun.

The kids favorite part was the bridge that we are on. They played on it, threw stuff over it into the water beneath, and ran across it. What a fun trip! We definitely love the mountains!!!

At the Padres Game

Trey and Quin got to go to the Padres game with some of the family. Trey was so excited. He even had to get a hat. The kid is a sports fanatic like his father.
Ashelyn and I got to sit in the hotel room and order room service (with the rest of the smart girls!).

At The Beach in California This Summer

I am finally posting some summer pictures. If you can believe it or not, I didn't take any!!! But that was because our camera's batteries needed to be charged. I know, I know, just charge them. But that is hard to do when you cannot find the charger (darn packing upsets) so we went without a camera. Luckily we have family that loves us and takes pictures for us.

Here is Ashie in her frilly bottomed swimsuit! Of course we had to have the binky because that kept her from eating the sand (which did not last long)! And she had eaten licorice so her face is red (thanks to her father).

Ashie and I walking on the beach, the wind blowing in our hair, the waves crashing behind us . . . it really was a beautiful day.
Trey and Quin in the water. They were looking for sea shells and watching out for jelly fish (Awww).

July - summer of new and exciting things

Trey and Ashie decided to start a band - the flute playing band. Ashie does whatever Trey does, but I was surprised she picked up on this noisy toy so fast!
Trey with some of his friends at the last party of the season for us in Kirksville! We loved going to Thousand Hills State Park in Missouri to play in the water.

Ashie playing tired after helping mom pack up as we were preparing to leave Kirksville, MO. As you can see, she loves chapstick. She does not let go of it.

We are back in Utah!!!

We have finally settled in and we are so excited to be in Utah! It has been a long process but I finally feel like life is back to normal in the Young household. We moved at the end of July, put our stuff on Quin's parents back porch and headed to California for a fun vacation that was two weeks long. We adventured in Disneyland, hit Sea World and Wild Animal Park and enjoyed the beach. We also got to see Quin's niece get baptized.
After that we had to come back to Utah and unpack. Boring. It took over two weeks, we just kept finding other things to do and family to play with. But that is just how things go around here.
